 Monsoon Lounge originated the summer of 2004 in Collingwood Ontario.  After a year, we decided it was time to expand our operation into Barrie, Ontario.  Positioned with a perfect location featuring a patio overlooking Kempenfelt Bay, Monsoon opened its doors to Barrie on February 4^th, 2006.  Featuring nightly entertainment and amazing staff, Monsoon looks forward to a long future in Barrie. 

 

We also offer sushi classes for beginners and advanced students taught by Barrie’s new executive Chef, Meaghan Kemper.  These classes will begin in the first week of June 2007 and you can sign up for them at anytime in the Barrie location located at 140 Dunlop Street East.  Miss Kemper, who has been running our Collingwood location, will be taking over Barrie as June 1^st and the summer quickly approaches.  She offers daily features and prides herself on her art of making these features from the finest and freshest ingredients Barrie’s local markets have to offer.  We wish former chef David Waddell all the best in his travels and experiences during the following months.  We have appreciated his dedication and look forward to seeing him again in the fall.
